This is the second half of the “Methods in Empirical Musicology” course. Based on the meta-knowledge that we learned through the first half (“how to read & write like a scientist”), this semester will focus on practical aspects of designing, conducting, and analyzing empirical music research (“how to think & work like a scientist”). Students' participation includes (1) acquiring empirical data, (2) presenting analysis with code, and (3) writing up the whole study in a scientific writing format (term paper).
